The Ministry of Education, Science and Sport has published the 2023/2024 call for applications for higher vocational education. It explains in detail the admission procedure, all the Higher Vocational schools and the programmes available to you. 


Here is a brief summary of the admission process. 


There are two application periods. Each starts with your application to the call for applications and ends with your enrollment. 


All admission procedures for all higher education institutions in Slovenia are managed by the Higher Education Application Service, which is located in Celje.

  1. 1st Application Period
    20th February - 17th March 2023

    You can apply for the call for applications from 20th February to 17th March 2023 using the online application form available on the website of the Higher Education Application Service http://vps.vss-ce.com/VPS. Print the completed Application Form from the website, sign it and send it by registered post to the Higher Education Application Service, at the address: Višješolska prijavna služba, Šolski center Celje, Pot na Lavo 22, 3000 Celje. Our Higher Vocational College will invite and enrol all candidates selected on the basis of the Application for Admission to our Higher Vocational College by 22 August 2023.

  2. Publication of information on vacant posts

    The vacancies will be published on the website of the Higher Education Application Service on 22nd August 2023.

  3. 2nd Application Period
    25th - 31st August 2023

    You can apply for the call for applications from 22nd August to 31st August 2023 using the online application form available on the website of the Higher Education Application Service http://vps.vss-ce.com/VPS. Print out the completed Application Form from the website, sign it and send it by registered post to the Higher Education Application Service, Višješolska prijavna služba, Šolski center Celje, Pot na Lavo 22, 3000 Celje. Our Higher Vocational College will invite and enrol all candidates selected on the basis of the Application for Admission to our Higher Vocational College by 30th September 2023.

Part- time study

You can apply and enrol for part-time studies following the same procedure and deadlines as for full-time studies. If there are still places available for part-time study, you can apply directly to the Higher Vocational College after the second application deadline, until the start of the academic year or 30 October 2023 at the latest.

* Price includes registration fee, student sticker and other administrative costs

Medical examinations, insurance, work clothes for practical exercises, other professional excursions organised by the school and copying of study materials are charged at actual costs.



Part-time Study

Students can pay in one lump sum or by instalments.

* The price includes the registration fee and other administrative costs if the student takes less than two exams

*** If the student is only doing individual courses and not the whole year, it is calculated according to the length of the course (the stated cost of the course is 1 KT)

Medical examinations, insurances, occupational safety course, field exercises and excursions organised by the school, as well as copying and binding of study materials are charged at actual cost.
