Tasks of the lecturing staff:
It discusses and decides on professional issues related to educational work, gives an opinion on the annual work plan, gives an opinion on the long-term development programme of the school, discusses the annual quality report, proposes the introduction of extra-standard and other programmes and activities, decides on the updating of study programmes and their implementation in accordance with the regulations, adopt rules for the adaptation of studies to students with special needs, give an opinion on the proposal for the appointment of the Principal or Director, initiate the promotion of professional staff and give an opinion on the Principal's or Director's proposal for promotion, appoint the School's lecturers, cooperate with students and carry out other tasks in accordance with the law.

The Law on Higher Professional Education Official Journal of the Republic of Slovenia, No 86/2004, 100/2013 stipulates that :
The Strategic Council is appointed by the School Council or the Board of Directors of a company for a period of six years. It is composed of: three lecturers of the school, two representatives of the competent chamber or ministries or employers, two representatives of students, one representative of graduates (hereinafter referred to as: graduates).
The Strategic Council shall be chaired by a Chairperson elected by the members of the Council from among themselves.
The tasks of the Strategic Council shall be:
Adopt the long-term development programme of the school, propose extra-standard programmes, propose the annual work plan of the school, propose the financial plan of the school, monitor the quality assurance of post-secondary studies, consider reports on study problems or matters submitted to it by the lecturers' body, the study committee, the quality monitoring and assurance committee, the school inspection body, the employees' representative trade union or the students, and carry out other tasks in accordance with the founding act.
The Strategic Council shall adopt the long-term development programme of the school in agreement with the Board of the institution or the Board of Directors of the company. In adopting the school's annual work plan, the board of the establishment may not implement decisions which are contrary to the proposal of the strategic council. In the event of a discrepancy between the estimates of the financial possibilities or the implications of the draft annual work plan, the positions of the two bodies must be reconciled. The final decision on the annual work plan shall be taken by the Council of the establishment or the Board of Directors of the company.
The Strategic Council shall cooperate with all the School's bodies.

Description Title
At the VSŠ, we have two Expert Assemblies, divided by programme. We have a professional asset for the Mechatronics programme and a professional asset for the Material Design programme. In both expert groups, the principal nominated a lecturer, Robert Jamnik, who was unanimously approved by the members of both expert groups.
The tasks of the expert groups are:
They discuss the problems of the course or subject area, harmonize the evaluation criteria, make suggestions to the lecturer's staff for improving the study work, consider students' comments and perform other professional tasks specified in the annual work plan.
The Board of Studies is composed of at least three lecturers from the School and is chaired by a chairperson, who is one of the members. The members and the chairperson of the Board of Studies shall be appointed by the Lecturers for a term of four years and may be reappointed.
The Board of Studies shall deal with questions relating to enrolment, the advancement of students, the adaptation and updating of study programmes, and shall adopt criteria for the identification, validation and verification of knowledge acquired through work or other non-formally acquired knowledge to be recognised in the fulfilment of the student's study requirements, and shall carry out such other tasks as may be delegated to it by the Lecturer's Assembly.
The Lecturers' Assembly shall adopt the rules of procedure for the operation of the Board of Studies.
The Board of Studies shall cooperate with the students in its work.

At ŠC Ljubljana, VSŠ we are aware that quality in education is very important. Only quality work and continuous improvements, which are introduced on the basis of self-evaluation, will lead us to be even better, more efficient and to the satisfaction of all participants in the study process. We have taken a holistic approach to building a comprehensive quality system by managing documentation, records and documenting processes. Activities in the area of quality are managed by the Quality Monitoring and Assurance Committee with the support of the school management.
The composition and responsibilities of the Quality Monitoring and Assurance Committee are defined in Article 15 of the ZVSI. The Quality Monitoring and Assurance Committee is composed of a chairperson and six members, namely:
five school lecturers, so that all fields of study or all subject groups are represented, and two students.
The Quality Monitoring and Assessment Committee performs the following tasks:
- creates the conditions for enforcing and developing the quality of the educational work school,
- establishes mechanisms for the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of the school's work by determining the methods of evaluation, the subjects of evaluation, the choice of instruments and criteria for evaluation, and the content of evaluation,
- plans, organizes and coordinates the monitoring and quality assurance at the school,
- cooperates with the National Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Quality in Higher Education (hereinafter referred to as 'the National Agency') and performs comparisons with other schools at home and abroad,
- monitors the employment opportunities of graduates,
- formulates proposals for improvement based on feedback from employers,
- prepares evaluation reports for consideration by the Council of the National Agency.

The VSŠ Student Council is made up of students from the Mechatronics and Material Design programmes. The students are mentored by lecturer Robert Jamnik. The members of the Student Council represent the interests of all students, both full-time and part-time. They are closely involved in improving the quality of work at the school, proposing additional extra-curricular activities.

- Svetovalna služba
Šolska svetovalna delavka je psihologinja Darja Lučič.
Šolska svetovalna služba je namenjena dijakom, staršem in profesorjem. Sodeluje pri vpisu v prve letnike, seznanja in usmerja dijake pri vpisu na visokošolski strokovni in univerzitetni študij. Nudi pomoč pri reševanju učnih težav, osebnih problemov in medsebojnih odnosih.
Staršem pomaga reševati težave pri otrokovem odraščanju in pri reševanju problemov in stisk.
Pomaga učiteljem pri razreševanju konfliktnih situacij v razredu, sodeluje pri govorilnih urah in po potrebi tudi na roditeljskih sestankih.
Svetovalne ure: vsak dan od 8. do 15. ure, 2. nadstropje, soba 217. V popoldanskem času je svetovalna delavka prisotna enkrat mesečno na skupnih govorilnih urah.
- Svet staršev
Svet staršev je sestavljen tako, da ima v njem vsak oddelek po enega predstavnika, ki ga starši izvolijo na roditeljskem sestanku oddelka.
Svet staršev:
- predlaga nadstandardne programe,
- daje soglasje k predlogu ravnatelja o nadstandardnih storitvah,
- daje mnenje o predlogu programa razvoja vrtca oziroma šole in o letnem delovnem načrtu,
- razpravlja o poročilih ravnatelja o vzgojno-izobraževalni problematiki,
- obravnava pritožbe staršev v zvezi z vzgojno-izobraževalnim delom,
- voli predstavnike v svet vrtca oziroma šole,
- opravlja druge naloge v skladu z zakonom in drugimi predpisi.
- Šolski sklad
Svet Šolskega centra Ljubljana, Aškerčeva 1, 1000 Ljubljana je na svoji seji dne 17.2.2009 sprejel Sklep o ustanovitvi šolskih skladov organizacijskih enot Šolskega centra Ljubljana.
S tem sklepom je svet Šolskega centra Ljubljana ustanovil Šolski sklad za vsako posamezno organizacijo enoto zavoda in sicer:
- Šolski sklad Gimnazije Antona Aškerca,
- Šolski sklad Srednje lesarske šole in
- Šolski sklad Srednje strojne in kemijske šole.
Skladno z 48. in 135. členom Zakona o organizaciji in financiranju v vzgoji in izobraževanja - ZOFVI Uradni list RS, št. 16/7- UPB 5 in spr. 36/2008 so v ustanovitvenem sklepu definirani:
- namen šolskega sklada,
- kraj delovanja,
- organi in delovna telesa,
- upravni odbor,
- delovne komsiije,
- nadzorovanje sklada,
- namen zbiranja sredstev,
- tajniška in računovodska dela šolskega sklada.
Strokovni aktivi in ravnatelj SSKŠ pripravijo enkrat letno predlog za zbiranje in namen zbranih sredstev v šolski sklad. Na prvi seja sveta staršev v šolskem letu svet staršev odloči o sprejetju predloga in predlagani višini prostovoljnih sredstev v šolski sklad. Sklep sveta staršev je zavezujoč za vodstvo šole in upravni odbor šolskega sklada.
Za posodobitev učne opreme in nasploh izboljšanja pogojev dela v šoli, predlagamo svetu staršev "fond nadstandarda". S fondom bo upravljal tričlanski nadzorni organ v sestavi predstavnik staršev, predstavnik učiteljev, predstavnik dijakov in ravnatelj kot vodstveni organ. Nadzorni organ bo enkrat letno pripravil podrobno finančno poročilo o porabi tako zbranih sredstev. Eventuelni fond nadstandarda in višina prispevkov bo definiran na prvem sestanku sveta staršev. Priporočeni prispevek staršev v šolskem letu 2020/2021 bo 2 x 15 € oz. starši sami vpišejo poljubni znesek prispevka v šolski sklad.
